Where guests book
Your own website
We build and maintain hotel websites with the booking engine built in, so guests stay on your site from choosing a room to paying.
A HotelOne booking page
A page at hotelone.com.au/booking/your-property, with your photos and room descriptions maintained in the PMS and a choice of designs. Link to it from anywhere — your current website, Google, social media.
The HotelOne directory
Properties taking direct bookings are listed at hotelone.com.au/booking, where travellers can find them and book.
How guests pay
Each property picks the option that suits it:
- Pay at the property: the booking is confirmed and the guest pays on arrival
- Card guarantee: the card is held in the card vault and can be charged later — for example a no-show fee, or a scheduled charge once the free-cancellation period ends
- Online payment through eWAY, posted to the booking as soon as the guest pays
Straight into the PMS
A direct booking goes onto the calendar like any other, marked as a web booking. Availability comes from the same inventory as the front desk and the OTAs, and the change is pushed to the channels as usual. The guest gets a confirmation email, the hotel gets a notification, and the guest can look the booking up later with the booking number and the email or mobile they booked with — no account needed.
Bringing guests back
Direct guests can earn loyalty points per dollar spent and move up tiers automatically. Guest profiles build up from every booking, and member campaigns go out by SMS with STOP replies handled as the Spam Act requires.
What it costs
The booking engine is part of the PMS plan, which is priced per room with nothing per booking — HotelOne takes no commission. Card payments carry the payment provider’s processing fees.
Frequently asked questions
- Is there a commission on direct bookings?
- No. HotelOne charges per room per month, not per booking. Card payments carry the payment provider’s processing fees.
- Can we use it on our own website?
- Yes. We build and maintain hotel websites with the booking engine built in. Or use your HotelOne booking page and link to it from the website you already have.
- How do direct bookings and OTA bookings share the rooms?
- They come out of the same inventory. A direct booking reduces the availability pushed to the OTAs, just like a booking taken at the front desk.
- Do guests need an account?
- No. Guests book with their name and contact details, and can look up their booking later with the booking number and the email or mobile they booked with.
- Can guests pay online?
- Yes, through eWAY, once the property turns online payment on. The other options are paying at the property, or a card guarantee held in the card vault.
